The Day After

Thank you to all for the participation in the last 2 days' blogs (615 yesterday and 468 the day before). It was heavy, it was emotional, it was sensitive, it was painful, it was joyful, it was sentimental, it was melancholy, it was all those things. My apologies to those who found it painful to be reminded of sad times. To those who are finding their feet, I offer my best wishes. To those who have found it, please help our friends who are down. Some would like to continue. Some would like to move on. Anyway for today, let me bring a little bit of cheerfulness, maybe a smile to those who have found it difficult to smile, and for some feeling vengeful maybe something to look forward to.

A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor's office. After his checkup, the doctor called the wife into his office alone.

He said, "Your husband is suffering from a very severe disease, combined with horrible stress. If you don't do the following, your husband will surely die."

"Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant, and make sure he is in a good mood. For lunch make him a nutritious meal. For dinner prepare an especially nice meal for him. Don't burden him with chores, as he probably had a hard day. Don't discuss your problems with him, it will only make his stress worse. And most importantly, make love with your husband several times a week and satisfy his every whim." If you can do this for the next 10 months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completely.

On the way home, the husband asked his wife.

"What did the doctor say?"

"You're going to die," she replied.

PS1. My offer to those who does not want to do a full time blog but wants to write the odd occassional blog, still stands. Email all submissions to admin@bruneiresources.com.

PS2. My special apologies too to AA* and ZH* who are taking a lot of ribbings from their colleagues and friends - let me just stress that these two are not desperate to be in any relationships. They ask me to tell the world that they are happy just being unattached nice guys (for the time being). Ok guys? And you? Yes you. Stop snickering.
